Vydiyanathan Ramaswami Functional Head - Media

Team Sify Vydianathan is a Communication Designer with more than 20 years of professional experience. He has worked with varied communication mediums such as videos, conducted ethnographic research and photographic documentation on marginal communities, and designed corporate exhibitions before entering the world of information technology. "My experience in the field of communication design has widened my understanding about the effectiveness of different mediums and their appropriateness or relevance to any given context." He began his career in eLearning as a Graphic Designer working with Empower Software by designing series of CD-ROMs used to teach Mathematics to children in the United States. Later, he got trained on Instructional Design while working with Singapore Technologies and Ministry of Defense (MINDEF) for the Singapore Air force. A few years later, he was instrumental in starting the eLearning division at Netkraft that was servicing prestigious clients such as Ministry of Commerce (USA), Commercial Service Institute (C.S.I), and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). At Sify eLearning, he heads the Media function. He is interested in the innovative use of new media in eLearning.
